Swaziland is the smallest country in Africa and owns the tragic distinction of the highest hiv/aids infection in the world because of this life expectancy is very short and some estimates that one third of the population will die with in the next ten years; some even fear that the Swazi people will become extinct.

The kingdom of Swaziland has become devastated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, children lead 10% of Swazi homesteads, and the average age for a child led homestead is 11 years.

By 2010 there will be 120,000 orphans in Swaziland – 10%of the population also by 2010 life expectancy rate will decrease to from 36 years of age to 30 or younger
Swaziland does have freedom of religion and yet young people are still torn by old traditions.
